How do you think Elvis wanted to be remembered?

I think he gave some clues. But maybe ya'll have more ideas?

The first thing that comes to mind is the award that he was bestowed by the JC's. I think he was most proud of that because he was recognized as a humanitarian, rather than an entertainer, which in his mind was more important. It recognized Elvis rather than ELVIS! for his contributions.

But his place in history is what it is and that is as a legend in our crazy culture.
"More people today should see him not simply as a performer, but as an artist with a great soul."

I agree, but I also think as he got older he didnt really want to be known as the King of Rock 'n' Roll. It seems to me he wanted to b known more as a vocalist. That is why he would do Hurt, How Great Thou Art, An American Trilogy, and songs in that nature to show the world the vocal control he had

    Just to be remembered.

I think he would like to be known and remembered for the joy he brought to so many. He loved to make people happy-to entertain them and move them.
So I think for the fact he brought joy to people with his voice.

    Happy New Year!

I think that Elvis wanted to give/share the music, that it's all about the music.

He was happy to give it to us, and he did.

I think he wanted to be remembered as a great entertainer, one who would be remembered as an all-time great....I know he was disappointed that he would not be remembered as a great actor... had he achieved that,as well his successes on stage and on record, then I think he would have been very pleased with it all.

I Think Elvis Would Want To Be Remembered As A Great Entertainer But Also A Great Singer Who Used His Gift To Touch Peoples Lives And To Make People Happy. Also As A Man Who Loved His Family And Friends And Was Always Kind And Very Generous.

I don't know but I'm sure he didn't want to be remembered for the details of his private life though I really like learning new things about it

I also think Elvis would like to be remembered as someone who made people happy.

Maybe in the same way Dean Martin wanted: "He was a nice guy."
