Forgive the self-promotion...or double-posting of sorts, but I wasn't sure how many of you checked in on the news section, so I thought I'd bring it to your attention here.

I had some fun writing it, and I hope you enjoy it.

    Thanks, Ron.

I realized after the fact that the 'Right away I bought me...' verse was not represented, but oh well...

I'd be happy to be your manager, pal!!! (h)

For 50% of your profits, 50% of all record royalties, 50% of your 50% of all gate receipts from movie ticket sales and concert ticket sales....

Seriously....those were some FABULOUS lyrics!! So, when we tune in to CBS, are we going to see your name as the star of the miniseries! (h)

Then, I can say "I remember him way back when..." AND I have the photo of you on the front page of your local newspaper to prove it!!!

    GREAT JOB BUDDY!

    Thanks, both of you.

I actually used to have a karaoke track of Promised Land on cassette, but it got messed up.

And I haven't come across this in some years, but somewhere I do have a recording of me singing that one. It was recorded just to that backing track (not A1 quality), but in a home studio on nice equipment. I'm not my own biggest fan, but that was one that I kind of liked...Just for the sake of comparison, the guy who helped me make it played two of my vocal tracks simultaneously to see how close they were in terms of timing and everything, and they overlapped quite nicely, so he used them both and it had a pretty nice effect. If I ever come across it, and I still like it as well as I remember it (which may be a big 'if'), I'll share it with everybody here.

Somebody many months ago suggested sharing those kinds of recordings on here, but nobody else did so that person decided not to. Anybody have anything like that they'd like to post now?
