My wish is that Gladys would have lived many more years. I think that would have made a difference in the outcome of Elvis' life.

If you could have made a wish for one thing to change in Elvis's life, what would that be. Only one now.
As much as I'd kind of wish his momma didn't die... I know that eventually parents do so I am torn between that and he and Priscilla finding a way to communicate, be faithful, and make their marriage work.

I am torn between....
1. I wish his mother didn't die.
2. I wish he had never met the Colonel.
I wish Elvis could have come over here to the UK and performed.
I wish Gladys didn't die that soon. It's never easy to lose a parent, but at young age it's even harder (I was the same age at when my own dad passed away). I'm sure, her death left a huge hole in Elvis' heart. She wasn't that old anyway.![]()

I always would love to freeze Elvis in 1967-69 -- The emotional and personal satisfaction he felt from becoming a husband and father, the creativeness of the Comeback Special and the satisfaction he got from that performance, the awesome creativity from Memphis Sessions and his fabulous return to Vegas which was the pinnacle of these 2 years and was, no doubt, an artistically fulfilling. During these few years he experienced personal, emotional, professional and creative acheivements that he would never have again.
"More people today should see him not simply as a performer, but as an artist with a great soul."

1.That Gladys wouldn't have passed away,so young.2.That Vernon wouldn't have re-married.3.That Elvis didn't have to service in the army.I know that it's more then one wish.

I guess that my one wish would be.....that he never took "uppers" that very first time. As we all know that led to a lifestyle that would ultimately end his life at the young age of 42. Elvis' life was full of "what if's"....and this has to be one of the biggest.![]()
I wish his mother didn't die
Some of you all never been down South too much...
I'm gonna tell you a little story, so you'll understand where I'm talking about
I wish galdys didn't die as early as she did.
I wish he had not had the constant sleep problem which plagued him since childhood.
Work in Progress!
I Wish That Gladys Had Lived Longer To See Her Son's Success It Would Have Made Her Very Proud. There Relationship Was Very Special.
Also Elvis Priscilla And Lisa To Stay Together As A Beautiful Family I Think During 69-71 Elvis Did His Best Work Due To Having The Support Of A Loving Family Unit.
And That Elvis Stayed Healthy So He Could Still Be With Us Entertaining His Fans.
I would have wished for Elvis to be truely happy, for his life to have developed to allow for happiness, contentment, and peace.
I wish that he and Priscilla could have found a way to make their marriage work. But I will say that the fact that they did stay close even after the divorce says something special and rare about both of them.
I wish 3 things:
1.That his mother wouldn't die
2.That Cilla would be more faithful
3.And that he could made a Worldwide Tour.
I wish the following:
1. The Colonel had made the step from a fairground manager to a modern music manager.
2. His mother had lived longer.
3. Elvis became aware of the danger that the use of medication includes.

I wish that he would have kept the setlist from August 74! It was a breath of fresh air for Elvis, but he wanted his fans to be happy so he went back to the old one. And I wish he could of done a world tour!
"Taking Care Of Business In A Flash!"
This is a difficult one. There are so many things I wish that could of been changed in Elvis' life. To pick one it would have to be that his Mom would have lived longer. I think she would of been the pillar of strength that he needed to help him stay on track longer than he did. However I really do not think had she lived Elvis would still be with us. I believe because of Elvis' addictive personality prescription drugs still would of found its way into his life.
