You can also go straight to Turner Classic Movies
    http://www.tcm.com/tcmdb/title.jsp?stid=878
and you can vote in their own poll to have EOT released on DVD.
At this time the vote is 823, if enough people show interest they may take action.
You can see to the right a box which says "Home video vote"

"How do I get placed in situations like this? Ah hell, I guess it's all part of showbusiness "~ Elvis in his limo on his way to perform in Omaha, NE on June 19th 1977

I don't think these kind of things work and if they did than there lets make another one for the tacky things EPE is selling.

Well Turner has a list of movies which are being requested by the public for DVD release. Each year they spend some money and time on the release of about the top 15-20 on DVD. As of today Elvis On Tour is ranked 164 in their list of possible DVD issues. So it would seem to matter on the Turner list since that is why they have the list to start with. But if EOT stays that far down on the list-it will not happen I'm sure.

Agreed Brad, its like banging your head against a brick wall, EPE have their stall set out and the "On Tour" DVD does not seem to be on the agenda for release.
Shame on them they sell such "naff" products it is so tacky, we are the genuine followers and deserve better treatment??

In a word: No. It's entirely up to Turner/Warner Brothers as to whether we'll see a release of "Elvis On Tour" on DVD.

This is very true-EPE does not control when any movie will be released.
Turner and Warners control this-and as long as EOT is ranked way down on their request list it won't get a release. They want to see a huge demand if they are going to spend the time and money to release EOT, and at 164 on their list it obviously does not show a huge demand to them.

You're right on the money, KPM.

It's a shame that EOT is the only Elvis film out there that hasn't been released properly on DVD.

Having read what it said on Turner's site it would seem that smaller distribution companies are responsible for the release of DVD's

It's bloody criminal, I bet it doesn't cost that much to run off a few thousand and see what the uptake is. It seems ludicrous that newspapers quite happily give away films that nobody wants to watch by the thousand and a film that has a built in market can be sidelined??
