I think it been stated in books that elvis was having problems with his eyes in the 70's

His eye problems actually began around March of 1971 when he had to cancel a recording session due to his eyes itching and watering - the problem was then attributed to secondary glaucoma.
Incidentally, this cancelled recording session is the one that James Burton used to record his one and only solo instrumental album, "The Guitar Sounds Of James Burton". Elvis reportedly picked up the fee for the album.

the video seems to be pieced together in sections, that is why the song stops/starts and doesn't continue through a couple of times....is that what you mean Gail?
