A poem I wrote

here's a poem I wrote. I hope you'll enjoy it.

If I only could hold you one time

If I only could hold you one time.
I would fill your emptyness
and try to ease your lonelyness.
I would let you know my love for you is true,
so you never again would have to be blue.
I would hold and squeeze you oh so tight.
Oh yes, with all of my might.
I would cherrish you forever
and let you know that I'd leave you never.
I would tell you not to worrie,
'cause I always be back in a hurry.
I would comfort you if you're sad
and take care of you if you'd feel bad.
I would dry your tears in times of sorrow
and let you make forget the strugles of tomorrow.
I would just say these three little, meaningful, words to you:
I love you!
If I only could hold you one time.

I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of moving your poem from the ELVIS PRESLEY forum to the OFF TOPIC forum, as we try to keep the focus on Elvis and Elvis-related topics in the EP Forum. Thanks for the compliments, but actually I ment Elvis all the way in the poem. When I write a poem or talk about something it's all the way about Elvis. I thought I just let you know so there'll be no missunderstanding about the poem. Afterall it's an Elvis forum and only Elvis belongs in it. I do know that. lol. No hard feelings. I wrote another poem about Elvis, but can't find it. I wrote it when he was dead 25 years. My God time flies by doesn't it. Anyway it was a beautiful poem too. If I can find it I'll place it too if it's o.k. with you.

I am SO sorry for moving your beautiful poem, especially when you were referring to Elvis. I wasn't sure, since Elvis wasn't directly mentioned in the poem, hence the reason why I moved it. I apologize for my error, and I appreciate your understanding!!

I PROMISE when you post future poems, I will leave them right in the Elvis Forum now that I know you are referring to Elvis in them!!!

Thanks guys. I'm glad you all love the poem and yes it came strait from my heart. That's me: Words sometimes keep playing in my mind and I have to write it down, otherwise it would drive me nuts. lol. .
