This has got to be one of the most beautiful and saddest love songs of that era. I feel too that Bobby Hatfield's voice is the most underrated. I would put him above Roy Orbison. Just listen to his vocal gymnastics at the end of this song. It still gives me goose bumps after all this time. Remember too, that this is a live performance. No studio tricks here. Enjoy.

He does do a beautiful job of the song, thanks Cliff. He voice is pure as a mountain spring. Karen Carpenter is his equivalent, do you think?
Except, when Elvis sings "Unchained" I'd jump over mountains to get to him! lol
