That's a hard one but you will find ELVIS -DAY BY DAY & ELVIS- A LIFE IN MUSIC (Ernst Jorgensen)very interesting, plus a book I've just read called THE LEAVES OF ELVIS'S GARDEN by Larry Geller about his spiritual side.![]()
OK I have been a fan sine I was 8 or so, and I have in the last 4 years really deeply researching the King.
I have read E&Me, last train, careless love, Elvis (goldman) Child bride, Revelations from MM, and the death of elvis...
I know all the books say things different, but what is the most accurate book on him?
Son if you ever say another derogatory word about Elvis Aaron Presley I WILL KICK THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF YOU!~

I think Peter Guralnik's are by far the best, most factual and will give you some real insight into Elvis' world.
I really enjoyed both Last Train to Memphis and Careless Love.
The first takes you through Elvis's enlistment in the army and Careless Love goes from army through his death.
Although it's badly in need of an updated version, I'd have to add the following:
"Elvis: His Life From A To Z" to the list of essential books and agree with all the others that have been mentioned.

Well for there are:
"The Elvis Encyclopedia" by David Stanley, Lamar Fike
"Me and a Guy named Elvis" by Jerry Schilling
"If I Can Dream" by Larry Geller
"If you're an Elvis fan, no explanation is necessary; If you're not an Elvis fan, no explanation is possible.“
(George Klein)
Me and a Guy named Elvis is a very good read.
I never looked for trouble but I never ran.
Me and a Guy named Elvis
careless love
Those two are my favorites
If i can dream by Larry Geller is a very good book in my opinion.
