mine was '40 Greatest Hits' (I think)..the one with the red cover..
What was the first album you bought? Mine was the pink vinyl double album 40 greatest hits and I still have it. Although not in the best of conditions I would never part with it.
love and peace,
Susan.

Interesting question Susan!!![]()
Actually, my Elvis collection started with my Mom's records. She had quite a few of Elvis' albums in her record collection, but as soon as I discovered them, they suddenly "disappeared" from her record collection and mysteriously ended up in my room!! Still not sure how that happened...![]()

The first Elvis album I ever heard was TODAY, which is why it is still my all-time favorite Elvis album!! But the very first album that I ever purchased with my own money was PROMISED LAND. Still have both of those original albums today in my collection!!![]()

My first was Live at the International bought in Jan. 1970. I liked Elvis before but never really knew much about him. I bought this album because I liked the songs and knew most of them. WOW! I went crazy over it and this was the start of my Elvis obsession. I bought every album following when they came out. and of course went back and bought the earlier ones too. I got em all! I have everything after the International as the original issues. Elvis is the King!
My frist Elvis Albums that i ever bought was.
"G.I. Blues" but then it was on the best buy deal, and then "His hand in mine"
But my dad got my very frist Elvis albums and it was the "Moody Blue" album
and it was on the blue wax, i love it, i have play this over over and over again.
and my dad also love then album, but he liked Elvis anyway, not a fan like us
but he did love few of his music.![]()
and my mom got me a box set 5 lp set called "The Elvis Presley story'
this was my 2nd favorite Elvis Album. i would to see this out on cd.![]()

My first experiance with Elvis' records was through my parents vinyl collection. I believe the first thing that was bought specifically for me was "The Great Performances" back in 1990.
I believe the first LP I bought was either "The Aloha From Hawaii" or "Elvis Presley Forever volume 4". Both I enjoyed very much.

The first record I got is "That's the way it is", I got it from my parents in 1971 when they bought me my first record player for my B-day.
I still have the album, and still in fine condition as well.
My first Elvis' album was bought by my dad-it was X-mas one...at that time I wasn't "into" elvis at all, though I liked Santa Claus is back in town...the first one that I bought ny myself was called Elvis country hits...old casette, now it doesn't have a piece of Suspicious minds, cause my bro erased it by mistake...and got a spank from me for that![]()

I can't remember the first album I actually bought, but I remember my Dad
buying the "World's Fair" soundtrack because we had just seen it together.
That's probably the first Elvis album I had. My Dad was an Elvis fan so I remember hearing Elvis' music way back in '56. Probably "Heartbreak Hotel".
The first single I ever bought was "(You're The) Devil In Disguise".
