what a wonderful book on Elvis. Just finished reading it. If you haven't read it do yourself a favour and read this book.

i just found it really nice to read a book that was about Elvis the man, their friendship and none of it sensationalised.

I've read it about a month ago and it is a pretty good book. I had some good laughs on alot of stories in the book.

Jerry's book is a smooth read as it's filled with his characteristically affable charm.

I liked Jerry's book a lot! Besides, it's easy to read, also for non natives.

I found it so insipid that I can't even remember what was in it. It left me with the impression that he was talking about someone he wasn't close to, like if Jerry Schilling was someone from the outside.

Perhaps he has chosen to depersonalize himself as a coping mechanism. He deals with the guilt of his abominable betrayal by trying extra hard to feel like he isn't Jerry Schilling, day by day.

LOL I guess I didn't word it right. What I wanted to say is he talks about Elvis as if they weren't close friends or like if he saw him like someone above himself. But I get what you mean .

Actually I have and I discovered that his warm and soft-spoken manner is just a routine which he employs for TV and interviews.
Mind you, we were in a crowded hotel foyer and I had just loudly accused him of engaging in a protracted and meticulously concealed affair with Priscilla Presley.

I enjoyed Jerry's book more than any other book l read about elvis by his friends. It may be whitewash like some say but he shows respect and love for elvis all the way though it.
