My computer has a virus!!! And right now Iīm writting from my grandfatherīs computer. But I canīt go on his computer very often.

Nicole, I,ve been having Computer problems too! I had a virus too, or some crap. Check your firewall..go to control panel, press start and go to control panel and go to firewall and turn it on! Or do a virus scan. My crashed completly and i had to redo everything. Hope this helps.I know it pisses you off it did me. I was ready to toss mine out the window.

I'd take Franny's advice Nicole. a long time ago I messed with mine and selected System Recover, which took the computer back to the day it was born. Mind you I learned a lot about computers getting everything back. I also learned to leave it to the experts.Have you got all your data on back up disc? This is also a good idea. I had one crash from a virus a several years back-mainly because I did not understand that even if you have anti-virus protection you have to keep it updated daily. My Norton Anti-Virus Protection came with the system-but after 6 months it no longer updated. It ran scans but did not recognise nor fight new viruses after that 6 months. Since then I keep my anti-virus software updated and my subscription in force always.
I'd suggest using other programs besides Norton/McAfee. It's been known to not be near as good at stopping viruses as it claims.
Right now I have a 2 year subscription to Norton-and since the problem years ago we have stayed clean. But someone else told me also that Norton is not as good as some others.
I was with Nortons for sometime as it was on the computer I bought. I had no trouble with them. The only thing I found was that it tended to slow my computer down when it came to games. The only reason I'm not with them now is I had a hassle renewing on line, so I went with AVG. Up to now they've been pretty good.But lets face it,if these creeps want to get in they will.
Viruses suck. Hate them
