i just found it really nice to read a book that was about Elvis the man, their friendship and none of it sensationalised.
I never looked for trouble but I never ran.
Sounds great, thank you for saying, Hounddog.

I've read it about a month ago and it is a pretty good book. I had some good laughs on alot of stories in the book.
Jerry's book is a smooth read as it's filled with his characteristically affable charm.

'Taking Care of Beaulieu'.
I liked Jerry's book a lot! Besides, it's easy to read, also for non natives.![]()
I found it so insipid that I can't even remember what was in it. It left me with the impression that he was talking about someone he wasn't close to, like if Jerry Schilling was someone from the outside.

'Taking Care of Beaulieu'.
I met Jerry back in '97 during Elvis Week and I found him respectful and courteous! First impressions last! Cheers!
Oh BTW, I havn't read his book, nor Sonny's, besides what more can be said about EP!?
Actually I have and I discovered that his warm and soft-spoken manner is just a routine which he employs for TV and interviews.
Mind you, we were in a crowded hotel foyer and I had just loudly accused him of engaging in a protracted and meticulously concealed affair with Priscilla Presley.

I enjoyed Jerry's book more than any other book l read about elvis by his friends. It may be whitewash like some say but he shows respect and love for elvis all the way though it.
