Arno was inspired by Elvis

Arno, godfather of Belgian Rock music, was interviewed by Humo magazine for his 60th birthday. When he was asked for his earliest memory in music; he answered: ‘The first song that made a deep impression was ‘One Night’ from Elvis Presley. That was just fantastic! It was in the fifties, and I had a friend, Frank. He had two sisters, Raymonde and Dorothy and a record player with Elvis records. You have to know that there was nothing in the fifties…and then there was Elvis…The first time I heard ‘One Night’, I was thrilled. That’s why I wanted to make music: I did not want to go to work, but I wanted to have the same feeling day after day as in that moment that Frank played that record.
