Time to let go .....

Folks,

After a hard think I have decided that I will sell of part of my books, magazine and original import CD collection, which includes among other things the Sean Shaver "Elvis" book, a whole lot of Elvis monthlies from 62 onwards in different condition - a few LPs like a "Silver box Lp set" which has a label error and the "Golden Anniv set" and a few Lps made in India.

I have still not compiled a list of what I will sell off. Some of my collection is well spread out in different countries and cities so it will take time to get them together and some stuff like the elvis monthlies can be posted/collected after January 10 2005.
I just thought I would offer them first here, where the fans seem more friendly. If I do not get much response I shall try the fecc.

If anyone is serious please email me (jbgude@yahoo.com) with a list of what you would like to have and if I do - I shall let you know. (The lazy way to compile a list )

Recently I passed a milestone, hit the big V- if you know what I mean - and given my family history I have just 5 more to go....... so just thought I would do a late summer clean up so that my other half does not have bother figuring out how to dispose of my stuff: she aint no fan and I can't take it with me. as Blood Sweat and Tears sang - I hear it's mighty cold way down there.from the song " I'm not scared of dying"

..and yes of late I find I do not spend as much time listening to E as I used to, and also realised that I have never opened some books/ magazines in years!

how sad so are you going to .... i dont understand , are you going somewhere or ?? are you having serious illness that make you have to sort all EP stuff you got , so your wife wont put it in trash ? anyway,...i just hope you're doing fine phisically ...some words you said are like 'end of your life' or something ..give it time to sell those precious collections you have , who knows somewhere along the way you'll be back on track.

Sorry to hear that jb i'm never selling my collection. When i go...if my son don't want it ( he is a fan...but only 11...so only time will tell....My daughter is 17 and can't stand Elvis...don't figure )then its all going with me

Well yes I am kind of sick but given the progress in medicines maybe I'll get a few more years added on.

Hmmm.. interesting not one of you guys sent me an direct mail as requested- giving me a list of what you want. How in heck am I going to compile my list nah Im just kidding Still too much work, just cant get my self a few hours that I need to make any sort of decent list.

Seriously I have most of the books starting from the " "The Elvis story" w/o a front cover( bought in the early 60's), Jerry Hopkins BIO, What Happened,Me n Elvis, Elvis n me, etc etc ,The fantastic Marvin Israel Book "Elvis in 56"(with German text),and maybe over 300 Elvis Monthlies the early ones have the center page missing which was used to plaster my walls It seemed such a good idea then. There are just so many magazines that I just cannot list them.

Anyway after I compile my main CD list I shall get back to y'all

Seriously, I need to make space and I have so much stuff I do not touch-sometimes for years.Some are stored with a friend ..

Incidently I have all of Elvis movies on VHS tapes originals plus recorded (PAL) -that I was willing to give away asking only for only postage.I even offered them on the fecc last year but would you believe not ONE person responded?

Now I think I will sell e'm for ?1 each !what do you think?
