    Stax or Jungle Room Sessions???

If you had to choose between the Stax Sessions or the Jungle Room Sessions, which one would you choose and why???? Each contained some good songs as well as some less than stellar ones.

    .

Until I heard The Jungle Room Sessions, I would have said Stax.

The July '73 Stax stuff was generally bad, but much improved in December.

There is something about the overdub-free 1976 Graceland work that makes it superb listening.

    So, JRS for sure.

Jungle Room Sessions for sure. I think it was better for me because Elvis was always more comfortable and loose at home than in a formal studio.

Diane, i agree with that, he was very comfortable, it was great going in the jungle room knowing he recorded there.

The Stax December sessions were excellent, Jungle Room a close second and Stax July quite a distant third

Jungle room because of moody blue, way down, hurt, danny boy, blue eyes crying in the rain, solitaire, etc. etc. etc.

Anyone that votes Jungle Room 1976 over Stax 1973 sessions should be flogged and made to stand in the corner (on one leg).

The Jungle Room Sessions for sure.

Like Getlo said, the overdub-free stuff sounds so beautiful when listening to those sessions, plus my favorite songs many come from that sessions.
