I think what we need is an "Elvis by the Smiths". If you want to know who was there in the beginning before fame, during Elvis's rise, and in the later years, a story from that perspective, I think people would find very interesting. Not just one from the later years when he became so famous, and one's who left him after they got what they wanted.
I agree wholeheartedly with that Missy. We've never gotten enough from Elvis' family both on the Smith and the Presley side.

It would be nice to hear from both sides of the family but maybe they have enough respect for elvis to keep there memories to themselves. I can't blame them after seeing and reading all the things friends and family have said over the years and to be honest we can sit and say thats a great idea but if they did make a dvd people would say there riding the coatails just the has been said about people in elvis life that have spoke up and wrote things.
another thing is if this was really inportant for the family to share there views about elvis don't you think they would? it just seems they would of done it by now since its been 31 years

I think the reason they haven't is that it takes a lot money they don't have to put something like that together Jen. Priscilla isn't exactly sharing any of Elvis' estate with them.
