Hi everyone
I have a question you know Elvis and Priscilla are in a bunch of home movies when they were together and you see some of them in Elvis and Me, Priscilla's t.v. bio, Elvis by the Presley's etc. but when Elvis was with Linda Thompson you never see home movies of them together hanging out around graceland or on vacation together, why do you think that is?
Why did Elvis film all these home movies with Priscilla but none with Linda?
If he did film home movies with Linda why haven't we seen them by now?
Does anybody here know?

Since things like his home movies will be filed under 'personal effects' and therefore in the possession of his family, it stands to reason that they will be inclined to share the more 'family' oriented footage with the public than any time he spent with subsequent girlfriends.

I think a lot of the home movies were not shot by Elvis or Priscilla but by the MM guys and I was thinking maybe Linda shot the home movies herself making them her's. I've seen home movies of Elvis and Anita Wood but none of Linda.
I forgot to mention besides seeing home movies of Elvis and Anita Wood I have also seen home movies of Elvis and June Juanico.
If you think about it, I've never seen any home movie footage of Elvis after 1970 (except at the JC Awards Ceremony). Maybe it was the sign of the times with Elvis.

In the '60s he was younger and he was really in love with priscilla, but in the '70s he kinda closed himself and wanted to reduce his presence and appearance only to live concerts. Image thing. You still can see home movies of him while getting in/out his limo or heading to a concert or boarding a plane. But I think he didn't want any film capturing his personal life which was a mess after '72. My oppinion...

I think the time Elvis was with linda 72-76 through those years he become mroe and more private, and kept himself alone alot of the time at Graceland etc. I think it just was part of him becoming more and more seclusive maybe...

I would tend to think that if there are any girlfriend home videos in EPE's vaults that they will probably stay there. I have also seen footage from Eddie Fadals home videos of Elvis with Anita but Fadal owned his footage it was taken with his camera.

Perhaps since he was touring so much after 1970 that it was no longer the fun thing it use to be in the movie years, to goof around with the home video camera?
I guess you guys are right. In the 1960s they all were younger and the group was really together. A lot of movies were shot by Joe Esposito but in the 1970s Elvis was sourrounded by a completely different group. It seems as if the funny days were over and the new group was mainly working for him and not being his friends. Maybe the days of the home movies were over, too and only a photo was taken here and there. But it would still be interesting to see some of them.

I really doubt there any home movies of Linda and elvis. It seems elvis wasn't into having fun like he did in the 60's and even if there was any home movies, linda would of mentioned it.
I'm sure that accounts for his home movies- as for other people's I'm not sure and I would be interested to know how far-reaching EPE's "control of Elvis' image" legislation actually is in this respect these days. Like you say, I've seen the June and Anita footage too but I don't know what had to happen in order for these to be reproduced commercially.
One thing is for sure, if you want to sell anything regarding Elvis, there is usually some correspondence to be done with EPE and then you're largely dealing with the family's interests on a business level anyway.
