What is on the fingers of Elvis

I have a question.

On some pictures from 77, we can see some white plaster or something on Elvis`s fingers. Is this sore from the rings he used, and the sores are growing, or what?

well if you guys and gals remember when he got that infection in 1974 it was because of fan scratching his finger. So after 1974 thats why you saw those bandaids on his hand. I can see why he did it so it would not happen again.

I'm pretty sure that his fingers are taped just for the rings not to fall off his hand. And also believe that photo is from May 20th 1977 in Knoxville TN.

Elvis wearing band-aids on his fingers dates back as far as Aloha, best I can tell. He wore them to stop his rings from being pulled from his fingers by fans. I'm sure the padding eased the pain of his fingers being pressed against the rings to.

My dad once spent some time with Elvis and asked him about all the scars on his hands and Elvis said it was from the fans. Dad said his hands were covered with them. Poor guy.

You can hear Elvis tell about the tape on his fingers on FTD cd "It`s midnight" He is telling about his rings and says something like...."I`ve got 19 tapes on my fingers to prevent them to come of"

No. The tape was there for the simple reason of fans not being able to pull his rings off his fingers. he also wears the tape on his hands during the "Aloha" telecast.

Yes, I read this too... And his musicians talked about the tapes on his fingers on the 25th anniversary concert as well. But I've never seen a picture about them before. Yes, the fans often scratched him, but he never stopped shaking hand with them.
