    Elvis 1956 pin...

I was at the mall today and in the middle of it there was a lot of old items for sale, some were interesting..

Anyways, there was a 1956 Elvis - Love Me Tender pin for sale...Can anyone tell me how much this is worth? I didn't know if I should get it, but is it worth the asking price of 50.00 CAD

That's probably what a collector would pay for the pin.Maybe even more. Was it in excellent shape?

I went to a flea-market 2 weeks ago and one seller had a black&white photo of Elvis in a frame and the lady wanted $50.00 for it! I guess I could put one of my many photos of Elvis in a frame and ask $50.00 for it too.Wonder if it would work?

It was authentic, on the back it said EPE copyright 1956...

Shelley, I would say it was between very good to excellent shape!

I've seen photos in frames like that too Shelley....ridiculous and I wonder how many people fall for that scam?

I also ran across a man at flea market that was selling several vinyl LP that I didn't have and wanted but he wanted $20 apiece and when I looked at them they were all scratched up. The covers weren't in super shape either. He asked me if I wanted to see the listing of the prices they were considered to be worth and I told him yes I'm sure they were worth those prices....IN GOOD CONDITION! I can't believe what people will try!

Going to get that pin Franny? Let me know.

I guess it all depends on how much you want it. I wouldn't know the value of such an item.

Values have to do with if such an item was a mass product back then, which it was.

Then again, it's a long time ago now and I guess not too many of those in mint condition are available.

At least here in Europe I never saw one.

If you want it, let's go back Saturday and get it!

I agree- if you know it's authentic merchandise and you don't think you're going to miss the 50.00 CAD too much, then why not?
I for one would like to see you upload a photo of it when you're the proud new owner.
I just hope it's still there!

Let's go back and get it, hopefully it's still there! He said he will throw in one of those Elvis heads with it, but I don't like those, they look scary

That right there should make him take $10.00 off the price..those things are awful!

Diane..what vinyls were they? I have often wondered about some of mine. I have 77 vinyls...all bought in '77 and before. They are in excellent condition...I wonder what they are worth?

I don't remember the titles at all Rosanne..I had four in my hands. One was a movie soundtrack I do remember that but I was so disappointed that I just put them all out of my mind and never went back to that flea market....too many ripoffs there.

Is that pin one of the picture pins Franny? I forgot to ask you that. I have three of them. One my sister took a pin to and scratched it and I almost killed her but luckily it's not too bad. The price seems a bit steep to me but I really don't know what they go for.

You need to compare "sister" stories with Ksimms. She told me that she had a beautiful AFH poster in her room on 08/16/1977, and at some point soon after hearing of his death her sister took a black marker and drew all over him.

I remember my teen years....my brothers were long since married with kids. I always was on guard when they would come over with my nieces and nephews....so afraid they would tear up my Elvis stuff!

I had worse happen though Rosanne. A boy I had dated went to Germany and was there with Elvis. He took a picture of him and sent it to me. I made the mistake of showing it to a so-called friend and after she left our house, the picture was gone. She went back to Montreal and I've never seen her since...but if I ever do, I don't think I'll be able to hold back and tell her what I think of her...!!!!!

With friends like that you sure didn't need any enemies. That is terrible. I wonder what she did with the picture?

I don't know but if she should still have it and forgot who she stole it from and shows it to me...guess what's going to happen?

It's amazing what sellers and dealer want dollar wise when it comes to selling items with Elvis' name or image on it.
