I wish he had done "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels".
all the goons I left behind,
memories still linger..
"Proud to be a coal-miner's daughter". Good song!

Without a doubt, Elvis would have done a fabulous job with this tune. Its got that great R&B feel combined with his uncanny sense of rhythm, and he used to use the phrase all of the time. God, I can just imagine what this would have sounded like as well as performed on stage.

What I would like to hear:
"Honey"
"Little Green Apples"
"Free To Carry On"
"You're the best thing that ever happened to me"
(all of them were recorded by Dean Martin in excellent versions)
"Forever" (The Beach Boys)
"In My Life" (The Beatles)
"The Junkie and the Juicehead Minus Me" (Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash)

"If you're an Elvis fan, no explanation is necessary; If you're not an Elvis fan, no explanation is possible.“
(George Klein)
We have all the time in the world (Louis Armstrong)
Celeste (Donovan)
Moving away (Lindy Blaskey and the LaVells)
Girl from the north country (Bob Dylan)
Silence is Golden (Tremeloes)
Crocodile Rock, Your Song, Golden Years, All By Myself, Some Songs Of Roy Orbison, The Great Pretender ...
I would love to hear one song that means the world to me, from an Aussie Duo...
I have trouble choosing songs for Elvis to sing. I always have. However, there are some songs, that I love the feel of.
In my opinion, John Farnham is one of Australia's best entertainers; however, his voice still isn't as good as Elvis', so again, the song just doesn't seem to fit. However, I love the song.

Does anyone remember "Me and Mrs. Jones" by Billy Paul which was popular in the early 70's?????? I have always thought that Elvis would have done a knockout job on his tune, albeit, long forgotten by now. It has sort of a jazzy flavor to it, but no doubt Elvis could have put a blusey sound it to.

I heard "Rose Colored Glasses" the other and realized what a perfect song it would have been for Elvis. Someone had told me that John Conlee had wrote that song about Elvis? Does anyone know if this is true?
