    So if RIcky Nelson scored the first number 1 in 1958, no wonder Mariah is topping ELvis: his biggest dominance was in 1956-1957, with Elvismania being bigger than Beatlemania (in the US).

    yes, Elvis should be number 1 when the poll closes

    Too bad they won't count hits like Hound Dog and Don't Be Cruel as number one hits for Elvis (since billboard started in 1958). That really would have shown different numbers. Mariah, eat your heart out
