Bans and Labels

I have been noticing this of late and was curious as to why there has been a change? In the past when someone was banned it would say BANNED and it would continue to show their avatar. Now they all seem to say JR.MEMBER and it doesn't show their avatar. When the ban is lifted do they go back to the level they were at before their ban was put in place?

This was changed for several reasons.

Albert can answer this one better then I can I guess.

But after the banning ends, the status will return as usual.
