That's exactly what my Nephews' think Elvis is an opera singer!
Elvis didn't just have volume, but a quality in tone as well. That's why I do like him, but no other big-voiced "rock stars".

nice video so many great songs elvis had a great vocal range thats why i love his voice from 68-77 so many styles so many different tones and he could sing different versions of different songs but he did have more of an opera tone to his voice in later years
