Elvis playing electric guitar in the 50's

I came across this photo on the Elvis Line webpage.

I never knew that Elvis played the electric guitar on stage during any of his shows in the 50's. Does anyone have any info on when / where this picture was taken?

I posted the same photo on the FECC board, and their administrator said it was from the eve show in Totontoa, Canada 1957.

Can anyone confirm who is correct? :?

BBm,as you can see at the end of my post,i put a :?: since i was not sure 100%(i new the year was 57)so i would go along with what the folkes at FECC has said,an less some one comes up with another answer :?: I have some were in my collection,a pic with el,in the gold suit,with guitar(not the one you have)Now dig this (uk) had a book for sale,with more pics from the tour in canada(30 pages or so)if i can find it,then we may crack this,if not,see if you can track down a fan site in canada,and post the picture(or elvisfind.com)
