I like Elvis as much as the next guy/gal but even if i could afford it i wouldn't spend 300.000 on a jumpsuit. A house yes, but come on guys..do you agree or disagree?

I guess in a perfect world I would have the money to buy both! How do these jumpsuits end up in private hands to begin with? Especially one like this?

The peacock jumpsuit was sold by Graceland. It is authentic as are all of the jumpsuits in the Trophy building.

Why oh why would they want to sell his jumpsuits. I know there are many but each is so special and have their meanings and stories. They should remain at Graceland where they belong not scattered around the country.

Sorry, TT, but: "The seller was described simply as 'a Big Elvis collector' and the auctioneer declined to identify the buyer."

Graceland has never owned the suit. Elvis gave it away himself. It was on display in England as early as 1978.

OK, but come back in 20 years and tell us how your wife and kids enjoy living in a camper or an RV hooked up somewhere.

It's hard to live in a jumpsuit. For the sake of aurgument, if you had the choice of being homeless or buying a jumpsuit what would you choose? I understand what you are saying if you could afford $300,000 on a jumpsuit you could affford anything huh?

$300,000 is alot of money but this is one of those jumpsuits i would prefer to see at graceland but i don't think they would buy it back if its going for that kind of money the buyer must really love elvis and have enough cash to last him a life time if they are spending this kind of money on a jumpsuit

If I could afford it, I'd buy it ... and Graceland would never, ever see it again!
