WOW!!!! AIN'T IT FUNNY HOW TIME SLIPS AWAY!!

Hello to everyone!!! It's been a long time baby...

This is the first time I've been on-line in over a month, and the board certainly has gone through some changes I see!! So far, from what I have seen, everything looks FANTASTIC!!!!! All the changes only further prove my point that we have, WITHOUT A DOUBT, the best Elvis website/messageboard in the world!!!

I want to say a special THANK YOU to everyone who has sent me their well wishes, either through the private messenger, or through the message that Bobby posted for me (thanks pal)!! I really have missed being on the board, and although I am going to try and do some looking around and posting this evening, I know it will be a while before I can get caught up on everything that has gone on, the new posts, changes that have been made, etc. So, I hope everyone will bear with me while I get re-adjusted to everything!!!

The move is almost done....still have a couple of things left at my old apartment, but the house is slowly coming along....although progress on remodeling/moving was severely hampered by my back injury that I sustained while moving. It hasn't healed yet (going on a month since I hurt it) and although I am getting quite frustrated with the slow progress of my injury, I am very happy to finally be moved in to our new house (for the most part anyway)!! And now that I am in my new house, I am hoping to catch up on everything here on the board over the next couple of weeks!!!

So, I hope everyone will continue to bear with me while I get everything in order and I PROMISE to try and get on here more often and get back into the swing of things soon!!!

I appreciate the kind words...it's frustrating for sure, but hopefully I'll get to feeling better before too much longer! Of course, being able to get on the board again and talk to such great friends as you will certainly help to speed along the healing process!!

We are truly enjoying our house....it's our first house....my wife and I have been married for almost 8 years and we've rented all that time, so it's really nice to finally have a full size house instead of an apartment. Our last apartment was REALLY small (about 700 sq. ft.) and our new house is about 1,600 sq. ft....we almost feel like we've lost each other in here sometimes!! But, it's been a FANTASTIC experience buying a house, remodeling and moving in to it! We've still got a lot of remodeling to do yet (a work in progress, so to speak), but we're having fun! Now if my back would cooperate...

THANKS AGAIN BIG BOSS for the kind words!!! Glad to be back and can't wait to see what you've been up to artistically!!!

I actually thought it might be longer than you predicted before your return, just based on how you described the status of everything when I talked to you. So I'm pleasantly surprised to see you back at this time.

Sounds like you're at least somewhat settled in, which I'm sure is a comforting thing. Then there's your back, which I hope gets back to normal for you some time soon.

I know what you mean about checking everything out here on the board....there have been a LOT of changes, but they are all OUTSTANDING ones to say the least!! I am SO proud to be a part of the "TCB Team"!! :worthy:

We are definitely settling in....it is UNBELIEVABLE to finally be living here....since we bought the house in July, we've basically been living in 2 places....living in our old apartment at night, while working over here at the house during the day! It's nice to finally be living in ONE place!!! And it's truly amazing to me that we now have more than TWICE the living space, with the ability to finish off the attic at some point down the road and turn that into my Elvis room! Plus, we are considering turning what is now an enclosed back porch into a family room perhaps in a year or two. But, I think our top priority next year is to do some landscaping around the house and build a garage! Lots of projects, but it's a lot of fun too!!!

As for being back on-line so soon, actually, I was hoping to be on-line sooner than this! I was working on moving the big stuff out of our apartment when I hurt my back. One of the things we didn't get to move before I hurt myself was the computer desk...and because I had no desk big enough to accomodate the computer, I couldn't hook it up here at the house. Otherwise, I would have been on-line much sooner! And because I have a cable based internet service, that severely limits where I can put my computer. If I had a phone based service, I could have run a long phone extension cord to my dining room table or something like that. But because of the cable based system I have, I could really only hook my computer up in my living room where I had the cable installed. And actually, right now, I am still without my desk. I finally figured out a way I could set up the vital comoponents of my computer in my living room without having the desk, so I could get on-line tonight! After I am done on-line tonight, I have to disassemble my computer again for a couple more days until the desk is finally moved over here this week. (My Dad and Dawn are going to move it, since my back is still not good enough to do much of anything) So, I may be off-line again for a couple days after tonight, but hopefully no more than that!!!

Anyway, THANKS AGAIN for everything buddy, including posting the message to everyone for me a couple of weeks ago! I appreciate that!!

Thanks so much for the welcome back greeting! It's AWESOME to be back for sure, and to finally catch up with all of my friends again!!

Thanks for the well wishes for my back....it's truly frustrating, as it has been almost a month since I hurt my back. But hopefully I will be on the mend soon. I had this same type of injury about 3 years ago, and unfortunately at that time, it took me almost 10 months to heal. Can't afford to be out of work for 10 months, so hopefully I can just get my back to where it can stand an 8 hour day, and then just take it from there. But I appreciate your kind words of encouragement!!

We have an enclosed back porch that we are planning to remodel into a family room perhaps next year or the year after that....and I have been seriously thinking of trying to convince my wife to let me model it like the Jungle Room. You wouldn't happen to know where I can get green shag carpeting, would you???

P.S. ANNIE -Thanks for the kind words....I would love to post a photo of my new house here for everyone to see....unfortunately, being the technically challenged person that I am, I don't have a digital camera/scanner/other pertinent technology to be able to scan a photo to post here. But, if I figure out a way to do it, you can bet I will definitely post one! Especially since everyone has been so nice in wishing me well as we were remodeling/moving! As for my own personal Jungle Room....ran the idea by my wife, and she wasn't really too sure of it yet....may have to do a little additional persuading on that one!!
