1969 july 31st, will we ever see anything?? sob sob!
"More people today should see him not simply as a performer, but as an artist with a great soul."

Wish I had been there, the skies must have opened up
I dream a world where man no other man
will scorn. Where LOVE will bless the earth
and peace its paths adorn...
Just the idea he was "LIVE" in person would have been enough-but for him to give the performance which is described in the reviews of that show must have been the dream of a lifetime for anyone who loved Elvis. I recall seeing Rona Barretts "Hollywood Minute" or something like that on our local news the day after his opening-and just to see still photos on the screen was a thrill.
She gave him the same type rave review that everyone else had.
I hope one day we will be surprised to find they have a "Lost Recording" of that night which they just stumbled across.
Thanks for the reminds, think i am going to play Opening Night 1969 tonight for the occasion although I am fully aware its not acutally the July 31st 1969 performance.
"How do I get placed in situations like this? Ah hell, I guess it's all part of showbusiness "~ Elvis in his limo on his way to perform in Omaha, NE on June 19th 1977
