Both of Them
Even though some may not like Priscilla, we cannot change the FACT that Elvis married her...
Yes, Priscilla hired advisor's, but it's because she chose to hire them, that Graceland is open to the public...
Priscilla didn't hire advisors they were named in Vernon's will as the other executors the advisory board from the first national bank of Memphis along with Vernon's accountant Joe Hanks they saved Graceland not Priscilla.
Truth be told if Elvis didn't have such a loyal army of fans and Elvis didn't have the appeal that he had and continues to have Graceland wouldn't be a success at all.
Right, Graceland is only popular because of Elvis, but had it not been opened to the public, fans would not have been given the chance to see Elvis' "home"..
yes that true according to Marty, Priscilla and Jack Soden wanted Colonel Parker to still be involved in the estate because they didn't have any showbusiness type experience and they wanted the Colonel's knowledge about all of that plus his knowledge about celebrity merchandising.
And it's true that Judge Evans refused to approve the estate's continuing relationship with Parker and ordered the trustees to sue him. And it's also true that there's a massive report by Blanchard Tual, court appointed guardian for Lisa Marie, detailing Parker's double dealing.yes that true according to Marty, Priscilla and Jack Soden wanted Colonel Parker to still be involved in the estate because they didn't have any showbusiness type experience and they wanted the Colonel's knowledge about all of that plus his knowledge about celebrity merchandising.
A Google search will pull up plenty of articles by lawyers and business reporters discussing the EPE v. Parker litigation, so I won't get into a discussion of what anyone else in Elvis' circle thought about him, except to say that Marty Lacker gives Judge Evans and Blanchard Tual the credit for saving Lisa's inheritance, too. He despised Parker, as his interviews make perfectly clear.
Yes I do
I take information from fans who know and read a lot about Elvis (books I haven't read that they have)
From the musicians that have worked with Elvis (Scotty, D.J., TCB band)
From Elvis ex-girlfriends (Anita Wood, Linda, Connie Stevens etc.)
I know some fans despies the memphis mafia but they were Elvis friends and knew him real well for a long period of time. When fans read biographies about Elvis most of those writers never met Elvis so they have to talk with people who knew Elvis and that includes the Memphis mafia guys so we are all getting some info from them me directly a lot of fans indirectly.
I got most of my info about Priscilla and the estate by newspaper articles I was just telling nyc what Marty has said about the matter.
I trust the Memphis mafia guys more than Priscilla
My favorite Elvis book is Elvis the Concert years which isn't written by a memphis mafia member
I totally agree with NYC and KPM about how it all came about for the opening of Graceland as a tourist attraction. Nothing else make sense.
It seemed even in Bis & Beau that "Bis" had the business sense and "Beau" was the attraction and decoration.
Yes I did see them Rosanne....very egocentric. All pictures of her at that boutique is modeling some pretty dress or other. No desk job for that lady.
"More people today should see him not simply as a performer, but as an artist with a great soul."
