You know, I've never given this much thought, but I stumbled upon this this morning and was in awe of this guy's talent, but what's absolutely AMAZING is that audience's reaction to him......check out the reaction of everyone there........

Now, that's what I'm talking about!!!!
Forever Best Friends
I never said that this was "The Second Coming of Elvis" - but rather just having an Elvis wanta be on stage drives the audience insane!!! It supports the theory that Elvis still matters and just the thought of him can get the audience going.

I agree with you 100%.
Imagine, how it would be?
Our lives would be fully enriched, no doubt about it. People here, get all excited about the young Elvis, imagine the mature, Elvis?
Wow, now that's a wonderful thought.

That is the whole problem with why I don't like ETA's. The way the people act is INSANE..it's sooooo disturbing. I have only been to see 2 ETA's, and one was Johnny Hara. I made it throught the first time...and left very early with the 2nd one. The people were a little bit creepy for me.![]()
My post from here disappeared??? Anyway we saw this on America's got talent and although I thought this guy was quite good as an ETA, I was offended by them saying that Elvis was back.....NOT. Some women will get excited over anyone and anything which tells me they didn't know Elvis nor did they know what he was all about.
Diane
I don't mind a good ETA as long as he doesn't THINK he's Elvis and shows great respect for him. BUT.....if you have ever seen the real Elvis on stage, in person, unless he never meant anything to you except for just being a famous figure on stage, then you can never never and I mean never, find anyone who even comes close.
Diane
And stillllll....didn't get it.
Diane
I'm not sure if I was erronous in making my point or rather that no one seems to really care about it, but I really didn't care about the guy doing the impersonating, nor can I stand those who do, but it was the reacation of the audience that astounded me. Watching the women squealing and screaming and carrying on as if 'the real deal' had just taken stage!!! Not only the reaction of the audience, but the women who were making all of the noise probably weren't even born while Elvis was alive. If you never lived to see him perform or been much luckier to have seen him perform, how can the audience know to react this way just as the his real audiences did back in the 50, 60's, 70's.

I think the reaction of the audience in this clip is staged as in many tv programs. Anyway it would be a reaction for the young boy not Elvis in my opinion.

I've been in a couple of audience tv shows and they pump the audience to get involved. Say things like the louder you are, the more you might be seen on tv....I can't help but believe this audience was in some sort of a contest...maybe the winner got a free car!!I just don't think they would have reacted like that just because of "him". I think they were trying to reproduce the Elvis audience from the 50's.

That's a relief..thanks Gail. Hated to think all American women were that gullible.
