    Most Heartfelt Performances

Blue Moon & We Can Make The Morning does it for me.

Loving Arms and Pieces of my Life
"When I was a child, ladies and gentlemen, I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was a hero in the movie. So every dream that I ever dreamed has come true a hundred times. I learned very early in life that without a song, the day would never end; without a song, a man ain't got a friend; without a song, the road would never bend; without a song. So I keep singing a song." - Elvis Presley

Wow, there are so many. I would say Hurt, Bitter They Are Harder They Fall, and Never Again. Tough to narrow it down to just a few!!! Like the other choices so far too. Also, It's Midnight.

Also: I'll Never Fall in Love Again. The ending is tremendous.

I loved all his performances but the most emotional and powerful one by him where he seemed almost to be in a trance so great was his involvement in the song had to be If I Can Dream. There's a point where he seems to lose his balance even.

    Excellent choices JJ.

To the June '77 let me add Unchained Melody. Also Mountain from 9-2-74 closing night in Las Vegas. How Great Thou Art from December 13th 1975!!

I think there are sooo many.... My first would be "How Great Thou Art", his Grammy winner song, but there are many many others:

    American Trilogy
    Bridge Over Troubled Water
    If I Can Dream
    Hurt
    You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling
    Just Pretend
    Always On My Mind
    Can't Help Falling In Love
    If That Isn't Love
    My Boy
    What Now My Love
Help Me Make It Through The Night
    Memories

Of course there are many many others which I didn't mention here.
