I have a cousin who was the biggest fan I've ever known and he told me one day that when he saw Elvis for the first time in concert (1973), he was in total awe of the reaction of the fans to Elvis and that is when he was totally blown away. He told me that it was so amazing that Elvis had that sort of effect on people and that was when he realized that Elvis was more than just an ordinary entertainer and performer.
Thanks for your honesty and sharing that with us. I never thought in terms of guys thinking Elvis was "cool" as you describe here. I agree that, as a female, I guess I'm not supposed to think like that nor understand "cool" from a male perspective, but I always wondered why men were so fansincated with him!!!

"More people today should see him not simply as a performer, but as an artist with a great soul."
