I'm so glad nobody got hurt and nothing was damaged! Terrible if the tree had damaged Vernon's office or anything else
Thank you for sharing with us, Bobbie

About a week ago we had a 3 hour rain and when it started we had maybe a 1 or 2 of very high winds-it blew open our front door.
I got up to close the door and saw the wind was intense, we heard a thump towards the back of our house-a 55 foot 3 foot around tree pulled up at the roots out of the ground and fell straight backwards down our yard. I spent all of the nextday with a chainsaw cutting it up and moving the pieces to be picked up.
I have heard because of the huge rainfall this spring and summer that many trees are just falling over like this because of the ground saturation.

We are getting the same in our area Ken...lots of big downed trees. One of our son's trees just narrowly missed damaging his car in the driveway. He did a lot of cutting too.
