    what draws you to elvis?

    Is it his good looks?

    Is it has voice?

    Is is his charm?

What draws us to this man? Each of us is here for a reason. What is your reason?

I am drawn to ELVIS for all those things. In 1956 when I was just nine years old Elvis touched something deeply emotional in me....both the personality of ELVIS and the way he presented himself to us through his music that just never left my heart.

I will never forget you Rosanne.

Rosanne, do you share bedroom secrets? If so let us know about your fling and we can add another reason to why we love Elvis!!! Seriously, there are many reasons why I love Elvis! It is the whole package! He was beautiful inside and out! The talent he had will never be matched by anyone. He is one of a kind.

Elvis inside, plain and simple. I would have loved to have helped with the relaxed man, the one who needed peace, that, I would love to have given to him. I'm only attracted to those special men, with special qualities, he had them. I wouldn't care how he looked, where he lived, none of that matters. Just him.

The qualities? Elvis was caring to strangers, animals, loved ones, his friends, family, all around him. He had a past, which made him, him, this gave him empathy for others, because of this he was well rounded, which makes him more attractive to me, more than he could ever know. To give to people, of oneself, is so important. He did.

To me, charm comes with a connection. His laughter, his smile, his eyes, his personality. The way he loved his mother. Good manners, similar ideas on life and what is important; varied interests in common; the spirituality and religious mix which is rare; being open, too. Raw masculinity as well as sensitivity. His love of music, his talent because of his love. He was a gentleman, which is very appealing. Few have his qualities, plus the emotional recognition factor; the "click"; the coincidences, they are consistent; he has all of these wrapped into one .... His fun personality, his seriousness, his moodiness. Reportedly, he loved hugs and kisses too, lol. :0) God bless you, Elvis, with TLC .......

His downfall, how he self-destructed and let it all go to waste. Definitley one of the most fascinating things about his life to me anyways.

And then of course there are the obvious answers, the voice, the looks, charm, charisma, talent, etc.
"How do I get placed in situations like this? Ah hell, I guess it's all part of showbusiness "~ Elvis in his limo on his way to perform in Omaha, NE on June 19th 1977

I have to go with the whole package there too because that's what we've seen but honestly, if I had met the man and he hadn't had the voice and success, just an ordinary man, I would still have been very strongly drawn to him because of his personality, face and the way he held himself and walked...love that walk!

I agree Diane! If Elvis was a nobody and he walked into a room full of people everyone would stop and stare. He just had that power about him. Of course he was so beautiful / handsome that I think his looks alone would make people stop and catch their breath! He was one unique person! A gift to us all.

Both of you ladies are right on the mark. There are NO words to describe the total animal magnetism and charisma that he had. He could have walked into a room with 100 people in a jogging suit and the room would fall silent except to say "WHO is THAT guy"? My Dad would always comment on his walk and his posture...they were perfect. I know we all say Elvis was human, and yes, of course he was. BUT..there's never been another human like him.

Don't think there will ever be another human like him again either.

I had never seen him when I heard my first Elvis song-the voice is what drew me. Just as it drew John Lennon when he heard "Heartbreak Hotel" but had never seen a photo or knew who it was.
I asked my aunt who is singing that song-she said thats Elvis.
She then showed me the cover of "Loving You" and I thought WOW his look matches his voice. I then began my (so far) 46 year fanship.
The voice combined with the looks, and charisma are all part of it.
