    Story:

    Elvis plays a navy frogman, who discovers a treasure chest in the hull of an old shipwreck. He contacts Frank McHugh, a nautical expert, to finf some information on what was the cargo of the sunken ship.
    Frank directs Elvis to Dodie Marshall, who's the only descendant of the ship's skipper. She might know what was on board that ship.

    Dodie, who's a yoga student and go-go dancer at the local discotheque, confirms that the cargo was coffee and a valuable chest of Spanish pieces-of-eight.
    She agrees to helping Elvis, but the money needs to be given to the town's art center.

    After discharge from the navy, Elvis tries to reclaim the chest. He forms a partnership with Pat Harrington and sings at his club as part of the deal.
    In the meantime, the pretty Pat Priest and hey boyfriend Skip Ward want the treasure as well. They steal Elvis' equipment and kidnap Frank McHugh.
    Elvis pursues the "pirates" and finally recovers the treasure chest.
    After opening the chest the coins turn out to be copper instead of gold and worth about 4000 dollar.
    The money goes to the art center and Elvis gets the girl.

    This is another one of those Elvis movies that lots of Elvis fans hate. But I like it. First: I'm a sucker for any movie with underwater scuba stuff. Second: The supporting cast is good. Especially Elsa Lanchester as the yoga lady and Frank McHugh as Captain Jack. Skip Ward is a typical '60s "pretty boy" heavy and Pat Priest makes a great femme fatale. Wow! What a figure! Wish Elvis would have ended up with her instead of the "virginal" Dodie Marshall.
    Liked her better as the "new" drummer in "Spinout". But she was okay. Third: The soundtrack gets a bad rap. Why? "Easy Come, Easy Go"; You Gotta Stop; I'll Take Love";
    "Sing, You Children" are all good. 'The Love Machine" is listenable. The only bad one is
    "Yoga Is As Yoga Does". But in the context of the film with the visuals it's hilarious.

    My advice? Watch it again. Go with the flow. You'll enjoy it.

    I agree with you, that this movie is better than most fans think. Elvis looks good and the songs are not the worst movie songs he sang. To me this movie is quite entertaining and I like to watch it from time to time.

    true..

    Yes my darlings, this is not a bad movie at all. It's entertaining, and in a way it tells you something about the social-cultural movements in the later sixties. The soundtrack isn't that bad either - very entertaining indeed! And there's also a morale to the story.. Don't go looking for treasures too much or you'll get to be dissapointed..! And Elvis looks pretty - better than in Paradise, Hawaiian Style, for example.

    I agree with you guys, Elvis looked great in this movie, I laughed at several moments. This was the second "fictional" movie with Elvis that I've seen. First one was Jailhouse Rock. Anyway, I ALWAYS prefer the documentaries

    I thought the song "You gotta stop" is called "Stop, you´re wrong again". That´s what Elvis says in the movie.
