I'll freely admit that I liked Britney when she first came on the scene...the last really good song of hers (IMO) was "Oooopsssss! I Did It Again!" (to me, at least) cuz I liked the beat of the song and the video.

It's so sad to see what has happened to her. I pray that she can get her life straightened out before she becomes another Hollywood casualty....

"When I was a child, ladies and gentlemen, I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was a hero in the movie. So every dream that I ever dreamed has come true a hundred times. I learned very early in life that without a song, the day would never end; without a song, a man ain't got a friend; without a song, the road would never bend; without a song. So I keep singing a song." - Elvis Presley

agree Tony she seems like a nice person just getting mixed up with the wrong things, but l think like rosanne said it might have to do with her family cause it doesn't seem like they helped britnay all that much.

Yeah, I try to not point fingers, myself. I'm no angel .

My mom and dad were never married either. Stuff happens !
It was much more of a scandal back in my day ! But, we did alright

Was Brittany's parents "stage parents"? That would explain a lot if they were.

I liked her too when she first started out fresh faced and so cute but it looks like the entertainment world brought her down too.

I don't worry about Jamie's baby because she and the dad are not married. I worry about the baby because the mom is 16 and doesn't appear to have a whole lot of maturity about her.

Yes....I think Jen got my point. It's her family that did not help things..at all. No..they were not "stage parents" as we tend to think of them. They were very self-involved with their own...activities, and sometimes "parenting" lagged waaayyy behind.

At least Elvis never shaved his head in public or beat up people's cars with his umbrella.

Blame it on the paparazzi, wherever she goes they go. Now that would drive me mad, too

The Britney from that era was real sexy and nice.... the current Britney (let's call it that way) is sad to see. I can see a resemblence between her downfall and the one from Elvis in the second half of the 70s. Only the mediaexposure now is even more (due to all the mobile and compact camera's: everyone can shoot ánd post pictures).
