Story:

Elvis, as Josh Morgan, is an Air Force office who is ordered to try and persuade a hillbilly family to sell their land to the government, because they want to use the location as a missile site.

The Tatum family (including Elvis as Jodie Tatum), are strongly against the government running around their mountain and interfering with their moonshine activities.

Elvis as Josh falls for Yvonne Craig. Elvis as Jodie falls for Cynthia Pepper, a w.a.c.

Eventually all things end well: the goverment gets the mountain and Elvis both of the girls...


Behind The Scenes:

Filming began in October 1963. The movie was shot within two weeks!

Sam Katzman, the producer was known in the industry as: "The king of the quickies".

Location filming was done at Big Bear Lake, California. Interiors were shot at MGM in Culver City.

"Kissin' Cousins" reached No.26 on Variety's yearly top-grossing list for 1964.

Lots of fans dislike this movie. I'm not one of them. Elvis meets 'Lil Abner.
Lots of fun. Great supporting cast. Enjoyable soundtrack.
