I've never had that clear. You should think he had a will pretty early on his career considering how rich he was already then....

Yet another debate that will no doubt have differing opinions.

It could ruin relationships but I feel if you handle it right and still lose a friendship, the friendship may not have been worth having in the first place. True friends don't let something like that get in the way.

It's strange that disrespect can be shown to everyone and anything, including ganging up on people, but if anyone makes a comment against the handling of same, the comments are deleted and the thread closed.

That's all I have to say.

Jess, I really don't see where disrespect is shown to everyone and everything. Sometimes I feel that if lots of members have the same opinion and/or feelings about a subject and it's a different opinion than yours then you consider that ganging up. Maybe you are wearing your feelings on your sleeve, I don't know.
In your reference to the thread that was closed, I didn't see what was deleted. I did see a majority of members agree that discussing Elvis' shortcomings was not being disrespectful or unkind. Did you feel like there was "ganging up" on that thread? I did not...I only saw alot of members with basically the same opinions.

You will have to be specific to who and what comment you are accusing of being disrespectful and in what way it is ganging up?

From what I can see the reason the topic you opened was closed was because of someone who agreed with you and then took it to far.

    Perhaps I am missing something

Or perhaps she's referring to the thread where - out of the blue, I might add - she accused me of being someone else and having multiple id's. Against the forum rules, and so off topic and inaccurate it was laughable.

    Just a thought ...

Kim, as you may know I am not a friend of threads being closed and posts being deleted....so I can understand your frustration in this regard.

But now I'm getting a little confused...your thread was about fans showing disrespect to Elvis and your plea to look only at the good sides of Elvis, right? We stated our opinions, which I think you didn't like and didn't agree with...which by the way was predictable, consequent you are extending your problem on all the world and his brother...

I know it's well intended, but you are trying to force your personal approach to life on all of us, and I am sorry to say, this won't work that way...
