    Elvis and plastic surgery

Since we have seen some people in elvis life who got plastic surgery and didn't need it, but l would like to know what your thoughts about if elvis was here right now, do you think he would get work done also?? He got a eye lift he didn't need so makes me wonder with these surgerys to make you look younger(which doesn't work) would elvis take that step

Good question....I`ve wondered about it myself.I think Elvis would have given it some serious thought.......his appearance always mattered a lot to him.If he hadn`t died in 1977 and had continued with a career in entertainment into his mid to late 40`s.....then,yeah, I think he would have considered it....just my opinion.

I think he would have gotten plastic surgery, too. He was very concerned about his appearance and even more worried about growing old. Had he lived, he probably would have begun the craze of everyone going out and having surgery!!!

I've been wondering about the same thing Jen, thanks for putting this thread up

I am sure that Elvis would have wanted to keep his good looks, because after all he was aware that he looked good !! I would have said no, but then I remembered of the face-lift he did and he shouldn't have done. This proves that Elvis really worried for his physical appearance and other people's opinion (which is normal for someone as famous as Elvis was ). I guess it all depends on the way he would have looked now if he were alive. If he would have managed to put off the weight etc., I don't think he would have had a plastic surgery...

That's what I am thinking too, if he would have lost weight no plastic surgery
would have been necessary, at least not in his 40s! Look at Vernon, he was
in good keeping until the end.

Looking at how bad Elvis looked in 1976 and 1977 it wouldn't make sense to have surgery (besides taking away 30 pounds of fat). He looked as if he had given up: no loss of his overweight, no new jumpsuits, etc.

But if Elvis would have maintained the way he was in 1974-1975, I think he would eventually had plastic surgery. Probably the eyes, the the nose, then a few years later the chin....

I think he might have considered plastic surgery .
But, according to Dr Nick; the doctors wouldn't even do colon surgery .
Because of who he was. So, I doubt he would have found a doctor to do it.
    {A reputable one anyway.}

I think so, too. Elvis was always very concerned about his appearance. And he already had some minor work done. There are people out there who believe that you should get some work done before necessary so that it doesn't look like you had any done. I don't know what to think about excessive work. IMO, he's just the type that would go hog-wild and end up looking like - well his ex-wife!

INDEED! Vernon was a great looking man even when he was old! he certainly passed that good hair gene to Elvis! would we want to see Elvis with gray hair? i kinda think so but, i just can't picture it even in my wildest imaginations!

    .

Elvis would definitely have had work done ... and he would have rushed into it, too.

Were he still alive today, I think he'd look hideous and still be dyeing his hair.

In some ways, it's probably better he died relatively young. The idea of Elvis as a vain old man is even less appealing than what actually happened to him.

I think I know the point that you and Getlo are trying to make. I think Elvis very well may have jumped into the procedure pool. I shudder to think that Elvis might have ended up with a plastic face appearing on Dancing With the Stars...much like Wayne Newton.

You think Elvis was such a vain person? I don't imagine him attending to a plastic surgery...

the jet black hair, the makeup, the surgery for his eyes, oh & nearly getting beat up in high school because of his hair & clothes - yeah, he was vain, but he was ELVIS! He wasn't vain in a snobbish way, he didn't have the big head, he just knew the kind of appearance he wanted to present!

He had already gone the plastic surgery route before he died, when he had an eye-lift.
