    Wade -

First of all, I'm glad you finally posted what you have been raving about for so long now.

It was never a matter of "doubting" you. Am glad your item means so much to you, but ........ honestly ----> it is not a big deal. To add some further "honest" remarks, .......... I think it is on the "Far Side" as well. Bizzaro, even a bit creepy.

BTW, I have also seen other "concert cups" out there. Am a bit disappointed that yours is just plain white, ....... some of the others I've seen had psychedelic 70's color patterns / swirls on them ........

Let us not forget, there is also the famous EIC "Coke" cup out there somewhere.

It Never Ceases To AMAZE Me ......... !!

    What color is your cup?

    Elwood.....
Bizzaro and creepy???... I am a HARDCORE Elvis fan
Like I said,I went to the stage after the concert trying to get a momento...the policeman wouldn't give me a scarf out of the "scarf case"...so,when I saw the cup,I knew he would give me that....so,I asked for it.....
Notice that my cup is in a glass case...true...it's a little on the "far side"..but it means alot to me..

just curious, what color is your Elvis cup??

    by the way...
here's a photo of my Lisa Marie flight log page..
signed by Capt. Elwood David... the flight referenced corresponds with Elvis Presley's concert at Birmingham Civic Center, Birmingham, AL., Dec 29 1976 ..
I guess this is really bizzaro too....right??

If the security gaurd handed you the cup from the "far side" of the stage, ............ there's a good chance you may actually be relishing Charlie Hodge's salivations.

    I got your number "Wade."

    DISCOUNT it all you want........

Jealosy sometimes manifests itself in the form of discounting others ...
please remember....I was there....I saw Elvis drink from the cup..it came from the stool that was beside his microphone stand..
    ***look at the photo below**

sorry if this is too strange for you...
I really don't think it is...

Think about what you are saying for a moment, .................... jealous ................... of a cup ................

Yes, "strange", does indeed apply, ...... on more than one level.

    it's really strange to me....

In the beginning...when I told my story...I got some responses that people didn't believe me...
then...a couple of you guys wanted me to post the photos..
so...I go to the trouble of digging all of this stuff out last night...and taking photos of it...
    then ..after I post it...

I'm accused of being bizarre and creepy..
by the way...I did stand at the N880EP..on 2/19/1977..

  10. #10

    the ticket...

I only attended one Elvis concert..2/21/1977...so..I only have that particular one that I went to..
    however...
    I do have a stub from :
    Elvis' 1972 concert in Charlotte
    Elvis' 1974 concert in Charlotte
and a FULL,UNUSED ticket from 2/20/1977 in Charlotte..

Wade, I'm happy for you, ........ I really am.

From now on, I'll call you "Wade - The Cup Man" ................. if you don't mind.

Now, I'd like to get back to discussing EP as non-related to "cups" / standing on THE N880EP / and seeing him twice IN-PERSON IN CONCERT.

(It's not what you are saying, ....... it's how many times your are saying it and equating it to Moses' parting of The Red Sea.)

Wade, all I was trying to say was that showing us pictures of the items that you do speak quite a bit of would seem like a logical thing to do. Thanks for doing so.

I would like to say that just because someone does not appreciate your things as you do does not mean they must be jealous. We are all fans on different levels (and I don't mean that places us differently on some hierarchy--I'm just saying we all have different priorities and views of certain things) with different sensibilities, and obviously since you were there and personally obtained the cup and had a great experience, naturally that cup would mean the most to you. I would also not make the mistake of assuming that other people on this board do not have impressive collections themselves.

I'm not trying to get on your case, but it comes across a certain way when you do make more than a few posts on this subject--sometimes identical ones--and then, when questioned, come back with a "see, I told you so" type of post.

Lighten up. Enjoy your cup, and enjoy this board, even if not everyone on here is as impressed as you would like them to be.

BTW I deleted your other thread, since you figured out how to post your pics and started this new thread. It's all good.
...you won't forget me when I go.

    Lonnie and Capt. Elwood...

    Lonnie,I do enjoy the board..
    and
I believe that Capt.Elwood and I were just having some light hearted "posting" discussions...
I have to admit..the "cup" is a little off the deep end..but...I enjoy it..
Honestly..it's quite fun posting on here..because everyone seems to speak their minds (especially Capt.Elwood) on whatever topic is raised

    Fake Souvenir Ticket

I do love your items and pictures. Thanks for including them. However I must say that the ticket stub in your photo is a reprinted fake. Packages of those were sold in Memphis (can't remember the year) as souvenirs. The way you can tell is the diagonal black slash through the main body of the ticket. This slash was put on to show that these were not the actually tickets for the show but reprints. I saw Elvis six times in concert and as close to this date as the April 1977 tour Detroit and Ann Arbor the stubs are the same without the slash. Check out the pic. Best of Luck. "Always Elvis"

amazing...I got into an Elvis concert with a reproduced TICKET!!

I got into an Elvis concert with a reproduced ticket!!!!I didn't know they were being reproduced in February,1977....
I've had this ticket stub for 27 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

Look...the ticket stub is real...not one of the "after death" tickets that are on EBAY..
    This one has Monday,Feb 21st 1977 printed on it!!..Charlotte,NC...WHERE I LIVE NOW..

why in the hell would they reproduce a Charlotte ticket stub?
