It must be 'Hurt' live from the shows in 1977. The drum-roll, the alarming trumphet-intro, the dramatic pause and then...Elvis on top of his voice pulling heaven and hell together. Gives me an 'everybody-rise' experience everytime...
How about the intro on Love Letter's...another classic !!
"How do I get placed in situations like this? Ah hell, I guess it's all part of showbusiness "~ Elvis in his limo on his way to perform in Omaha, NE on June 19th 1977

I think the intro for "That's Allright Mama" was what you'd consider macho or in other words "with sexual power" in it. In this case I'm thinking of the versions from 1970.
all the goons I left behind,
memories still linger..
No one has mentioned "Guitar Man"
An excellent intro by Jimmy Reed.
"Here's to our wives and girlfriends...may they never meet!".
Groucho Marx
Patch It Up
"When I was a child, ladies and gentlemen, I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was a hero in the movie. So every dream that I ever dreamed has come true a hundred times. I learned very early in life that without a song, the day would never end; without a song, a man ain't got a friend; without a song, the road would never bend; without a song. So I keep singing a song." - Elvis Presley
The guitar player on the original version of "Guitar Man" was Jerry Reed. Not Jimmy Reed. Had they not tried to argue 'bout the rights/publishing to the song, Jerry probably wouldn't have gotten mad and walked out and we might've heard him on other tracks but....
The movie song "hey hey hey" lol
It's not really a great song, but it has that cool beat in the beginning
Like A Baby is a pretty cool, just a few bluesy notes I really like Little Sister adn Way Down intros
Oh and Edge of Reality, it's a wonderful intro
If You Talk In Your Sleep is good.

How about the great Vocal intro to Anyplace is Paradise no one else would have had the instant intuition to do that at that time, the wonderful Don't be Cruel, Love Me another straight in vocal, this was what made him the vocalist he was he dared to try things, and he became the absolute master at it and did change the World, within one year he was as instantly recognisable as Coca Cola..and the Queen of England thats some pretty good company, a Teenage Idol for 3 years, then he conquered all age groups, and the world was his....may his wonderful talent be eternal for there will never be another the like....
