Elvis Ranked #25 On Yahoo's "Best Of" album list

    http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/lis...st-of-best-ofs

Yahoo has a listing of the 25 "Best Of" albums of all time. Elvis comes in at #10 with the album ELVIS THE TOP 10 HITS.

Strange I would think He would at least be in the top 5
Heres there assessment of this album:
    10) The Top Ten Hits--Elvis Presley: The Sun Sessions remain his most stunning achievement. But his longevity and the scope of his career deserve as much attention as his initial impact. This dude is majorly famous. And these 38 top ten hits span decades and give you a broad overview despite the fact that nothing from Sun Records, no gospel or blues, little country and many hits are missing. (They didn't go Top Ten!) Even without all that there's still what marketing departments call "an embarrassment of riches".

IMO I see no nod to his talent as a singer- after the first line about the Sun Sessions. It bothers me that their one compliment is "this dude is majorly famous"
Britney Spears & Paris Hilton are "majorly famous" but neither have made the cultural impact or have the talent and charisma of Elvis Presley. Yet their is little recognition of this in their review of this album.

You have to admit, 31 years after his death and 50+ years after his debut, Elvis has truly earned the caption: This dude is majorly famous. Although this hardly even begins to touch his talent, impact and charisma (as thousands of critics and fans will attest), for those who aren't as informed as some, I'll take This dude is majorly famous.

Okay, I must have had a really great Mother's Day weekend, and I'm still in recovery, someone help me here: What album are they referring to?

    And please, no snickering!

Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.
And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go

You have to click onto the link at post #1 and find album #10. Its just another album with his hit list, but still unbelievable that he could still be putting this stuff on the tops list!!!!!!!!!!!

That is my point-whoever wrote the review IMO stepped over the talent, charisma and the impact Elvis made-like they had little understanding of this.
"Majorly famous" is a compliment-but as I pointed out many are majorly famous for having achieved little-I just don't want people to think of Elvis in that way. IMO Famous is nothing unless its based on respect for accomplishment.
I just wish they had given a little more info on those accomplishments-and in doing so more credibilty and respect to Elvis's talents.

I bet he was limited to how much space he could have used for the article. You could write volumes on Elvis and still not cover it all!!!!!
