Thread: Who Is This Man?

    Who Is This Man?

In my 'part-time' investigations studying the myths, allogations and theories behind the death of Elvis Presley, I have discovered (or I should say 'uncovered') many things.
There is only one that really and truly baffels me........

Didn't Elvis use the name Jon Burrows on some occasions?
Is there a more front view of this photo to see?
Would his FBI work made him fake his death?

    Hello, David
You might find that others are interested in that subject, but as you've probably found out. It's not encouraged on most sites as it can cause arguements.
    .

I must say, I too looked into the different "reasons, clues, etc". Not necessarilly to believe but, because I have a few friends that do.
Some of them were deeply hurt by the ones that pretended to "be Elvis" and I was certainly not happy with those kind.

As for that Jon Burrows; he has always denied being Elvis.
Yes, I've heard him sing too.
At least you live in the right state for the "fake Elvis" . I found most of them come from Texas .

I have discovered that most fans strongly dislike the subject and shove you away as quickly as possible. I've heard great things about this forum, so I decided to join.

You're right about them coming from Texas... alot of them do! I do know about a Jon Burrows, but the man pictured below is not Burrows. He has a very different last name, but I am declined to share that.
This man in fact does not like Jon Burrows or any other fake that claims to know Elvis or be Elvis. He also is very serious about his privacy. For that reason, I cannot share much of what I know about him. I'm just looking for an opinion from honest fans...

I know what name he goes by. Jon Cotner . He also used Mystery Man.
I'm not going to say a word, as it's not my place. Have fun. There's lots of things here to share and talk about.
    Believe me; I'm being nice.

I don't "strongly dislike this subject"........however, Elvis is dead. This guy, to my eyes, does not even resemble Elvis in any period of his life. Elvis died in 1977. Fortunately for us, his music lives.

Elvis is gone, he is buried in Graceland, I would bet my house on it. Cant we just keep his memory alive by listening to his music, watching his movies and rockumentaries? People who believe he is alive have to wake the hell up.
"When I was a child, ladies and gentlemen, I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was a hero in the movie. So every dream that I ever dreamed has come true a hundred times. I learned very early in life that without a song, the day would never end; without a song, a man ain't got a friend; without a song, the road would never bend; without a song. So I keep singing a song." - Elvis Presley

Well I know Elvis is dead no doubt about it. As I heard it said, cause Michael Jackson is still alive, ha, but I think this guy looks so much like him, I dont know why, everybody has a twin out there in the world Ive also heard. What if Jesse Garon didnt really die at birth. You know how poor the family was, how hard it would be to raise one child and now there were two.
I wouldnt come back out there for love nor money.

Hello...David, is it? Welcome to TCB World!

Overall, this place is GREAT! It is much like a family setting...where "siblings" argue a bit and disagree, but in the end it usually works out. And even when it doesn't, people still manage to be civil...well...most of the time anyway!

As for your interest in the "myths, allogations and theories behind the death of Elvis Presley"...I see nothing wrong with that! It may not be everyone's 'cup of tea'...and yes, some will call it rubbish and maybe you'll catch some heavy flack over it...but all in all, there are some things about it that interests me too.

Don't get me wrong...I VERY MUCH BELIEVE ELVIS IS DEAD. But, I find it interesting to see how people operate. It intrigues me to "pick the brains" of those who have these theories. And every great now and then, I have ran into something that has made me scratch my head and say "HUH?"....

So...if you are thick skinned enough to be able to handle the replies you may get...please feel free to share things with us. Best case scenario...someone may have info that can shed light on things for you. Worst case scenario...someone may offend you. Let's hope for the BEST!

And again...welcome aboard! Hope you enjoy being here!

Daddy, I miss you more every day. You will always be my hero..

Yes, I told him that privately . IF he can stand the heat .I've certainly discussed it other places. IF it gets too bad, they'll just lock the thread as they have others. It sure doesn't bother me in the least. I just thought it was best if he was forewarned. He seems a very nice person.

When Gail and I were in Memphis last week we met this really cool woman from London. She is shown at 2:15 in our Playing in Memphis thread. She brought up that old expression..that everybody in the world may have a twin, but she said she doesn't believe that for one second. She said that there is "absolutely no one that will ever look like Elvis". I tend to agree with her. As my Mom has always said....little Jesse died at birth because the world wasn't ready for TWO men that looked like Elvis....

    I agree!

It's a bit funny to me how people choose to argue over things like this, that can actually be a bit humorous at times! Myself, I have found humor in some of this stuff. And at times, I have even found some points to be worth debating or at least worth a second glance. That doesn't mean that I am 'looking for Elvis' or that I think that he will emerge and reclaim his life...but I think that there are different angles to everything. And usually it all rides on how one perceives a certain thing. No more, no less. Five people could read the same passage and likely interpret it differently. Human nature I guess....or the differences therein!

Daddy, I miss you more every day. You will always be my hero..

Score one for your Momma! She is soooo right about that! Look at all the swooning and fanaticism that ONE Elvis caused......had there been TWO of them...the female population may have cracked under the immense pressure!

First and foremost, Elvis is gone, wish people would forget about the Elvis Is Alive rumor's and let the man have some peace for once.

And second, yes he did go by that name also it was Colonel Jon Burrows as well !
"How do I get placed in situations like this? Ah hell, I guess it's all part of showbusiness "~ Elvis in his limo on his way to perform in Omaha, NE on June 19th 1977

I know for sure that I would have cracked. Reminds me of that old song from the mid-seventies....Torn Between Two Lovers.

Lordy...I wouldn't have been torn at all. If they were identical...either one would be fine with me!
