That's what I told my daughter . When I start thinking I'm Elvis; ship me off !

Just ship yourself right on over to the Heartbreak Hotel, you will fit right in. Gail and I saw many men that seemed to be having some sort of Elvis delusion in one form or another.

Not just at Heartbreak Hotel! They are everywhere. Even in my little
    podunk town!

Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.
And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go

    Who's "they"? The MM?

There is no source for these body double claims by the MM save for this article, which has no attribution!

You cannot blame the MM for this, as there is no proof whatsoever that they said it.

It's rubbish, and typical of this magazine.

Only that they're quoted as saying it in R of MM. Look it up !
It's best to not believe everything you hear and read.

Let me add; I don't want to argue with you or anyone. I just got into this to clear up some untruths. Mostly, of how everything was covered up in Memphis 8/16/77 and to stop/expose the "fake Elvis;" out here . Do I believe Elvis traded places with another man? No, I don't.
But, Lacker and Billy tells the same story in Rev.of the MM. I just don't see any reason to "white-wash" their part in all this either . Believe what you like . It's what I tell everyone.

When Gail and I were in Memphis last week we met this really cool woman from London. She is shown at 2:15 in our Playing in Memphis thread. She brought up that old expression..that everybody in the world may have a twin, but she said she doesn't believe that for one second. She said that there is "absolutely no one that will ever look like Elvis". I tend to agree with her. As my Mom has always said....little Jesse died at birth because the world wasn't ready for TWO men that looked like Elvis....
Your mother was absoulutely right. I really don't know what would happen to women now LOL... I would be crazy about both of them, that's for sure. Anyways there can be lot of differences between identical twins even if their appearance are the same. Maybe there would be two TCB-world sites now? Who knows... Seriously I often wonder what would have happened if his twin-brother had survived. I think Jasse maybe had the same or at least very similar characteristics, but he never could show it to the world. Maybe that was written for him and Elvis had to grow up alone. And now how many men would like to be like him? I'm sure everything would have been different if his brother stayed alive.
