.... to me as a fan of him in the quote Elvis was fat and her daughter is becomeing like him what bothers me is the reference on Elvis, not Lisa.

The same as she has said i have put weight on because i´m pregnant she could have said something about them making fun of him who was a very ill man in the same sentence. Maybe she has and i haven´t read it.

It was the statement that referred to Elvis I didn't like either. You'd think after 30 years of making fun of him; enough would be enough.
It seems some will never get away from it.
IMO, Lisa would go off on them about her dad. But, she's complained about that since she was old enough to realize what was going on. Has it done any good? Thing is; she can sue them for herself, but she can't for her dad. Maybe she's growing up and just doing what she can. {I wish she could and I think she does too}

LATEST: A U.K. newspaper has been forced to apologise to pregnant singer LISA MARIE PRESLEY after it published an article alleging she was overweight.
Elvis Presley's daughter says the Daily Mail's story, which was picked up by various media sources worldwide, ridiculed her appearance and forced her to disclose she is expecting a child.
Simon Smith, the star's U.K. lawyer, claimed the publication's claims she had an "unhealthy appetite" and is "growing like her dad" caused her to feel "deeply upset and offended".On Friday (02May08) the 40-year-old received an apology from Associated Newspapers, the Daily Mail's publishers, after she launched a libel claim at London's High Court.
Presley has two teenage children from her previous marriage to Danny Keogh - Riley, 18, and 15-year-old Benjamin - but this is her first child with husband Michael Lockwood.

Thanks, for posting Jen. I give Lisa credit for standing up for herself! She didn't like what they said and she deserved an apology!

I also didn't like that they were making reference to Elvis, he was not healthy when he gained weight, a low thing to do IMO...

"On March 4, we published a photograph of Lisa Marie Presley while she was dining with friends. We suggested she might have an unhealthy appetite similar to her late father. We now accept that the suggestion is untrue and apologize to Ms Presley for any distress caused."




The Daily Mail in London jumped the gun in the middle of discussing our settlement agreements and posted this in their paper this past Friday.
It could have easily gone unnoticed, but I am sure they would never have wanted that to be the case. (insert smile of sarcasm and eye brow goes up here).
It never ceases to amaze me how hard it is to get an apology and when you finally do it is NEVER in the same context or magnitude as the original slanderous story.
Regardless, I accept their attempt at redemption.
Also, anything else that comes from this will go directly into the Presley Charitable Foundation which will go towards building the New Presley Place in New Orleans.
No, I'm not quite done yet. I get immense pleasure out of making something good come from something bad.
For those who have been asking recently, The duet of" In the Ghetto " was only up on ITUNES for about a month and a half last August /September and it made approximately 150 thousand dollars for the project. A great start but still only a start.
I have many ideas about fund raisers for this in the future.
In the meantime,
I miss you as much as you miss me, I miss being on the road!
I'm feeling unusually well and happy being pregnant thank you. (For those who have asked).
