That is sooo true Lisa. There is not a pic or a clip or DVD that comes close to what he really looked like. Gail and I were talking about this the other day.....I spent the months between the Summer Festivals seeing him in concert, which wasn't the same as Vegas. From one year to the next...when he would 1st walk out the VERY 1st thought that would go through me head was "OMG....I forget how handsome he really is". Every summer my Dad would make the comment that he was "the most handsome young man he had ever seen", along with the comment evry year that Elvis had the "absolute best posture he had ever seen on a man."
I bet he did too! Elvis had enough "style" to know this wasn't his best look.
I've always liked Elvis' nose. His face looked well-proportioned up to the point of being fairytale prince-like.. But his nose was so uniquely his - there was no way to confuse his nose with someone else's, I suppose..

After looking at all these fabulous pictures, he sometimes seems too good to be true. Did someone named Elvis really exist? At times he just seemed to gorgeous to be real.
Interestingly enough, I found an article last night that said Elvis certainly seems to have conformed to the ideal of Greek beauty.
Further, his photographs were used as studies to re-build Old World statues damaged during the bombings of WWII because his facial (eyes, nose, lips) features displayed the ideal of beautiful features.

i think cos elvis looked so dam good its very difficult when they try to make figures and statues cos they don't seem to look like elvis he is just too uniquie to re create thought i would post these photos make of it what you will but all i can say is he sure was not shy
Oh Rosanne tell us exactly what he looked like. Was his eyelashes as long as they look in photos ? His skin seems very clear and tanned. I know he was tall but did he have petite features? It is hard to visualize him being real. He seems almost too perfect to be human. To see him dress in those jumpsuits must of been amazing!!!
