Ian, I never realized how well Andy Kaufman did Elvis.....wow! Thanks for posting this.
It's just an incredible performance!!!!! He really loved and admired Elvis so much!!!!! When this special first aired,I was still grieving mightily over the loss of Elvis,and not being able to see anybody that could ever come close to his stage talents and magnetism, I really wanted the kids and everyone else that didn't fully appreciate him, to see and experience the greatest entertainer of all time,and then here comes Andy on this special,and it was the closest thing you could ever get to the real deal!!!!!
In my opinion he sounded terrible.He can't come even close to Elvis and his voice was totally different. I must say, that I've never seen worst impresionater than Andy Kaufman.

Well Elvis himself loved Andy's performances of himself,so I think that speak's volume's,and Elvis had video of Andy's performances i beleive also!
well i have to agree with debra i just think this guy is anything but elvis and maybee when elvis said he was great he was saying this as a joke as elvis didnt seem to take himself too seriously but i don't think this was good
