    From the beginning, Elvis always slurred his words when talking.
    He just looks very ,very ill to me.

    To me it's not only the slurring of the words that is bothersome...it's the sound and lack of strength in his speaking voice that is so sad. Take a good listen to this...then take a look at TTWII and his stage presence. It absolutely sounds like 2 different men.

    That is true Rosanne. I've noticed that and pondered it many, many times... It's almost as if he had lost his spirit...the light had dimmed, so to speak. Perhaps he was tired. Just tired of the battles. Tired of the demons he had to deal with. Tired of being Elvis, maybe? I don't know for sure...but I do know that it breaks my heart to think that with so many people constantly around him...no one seemed to notice, or cared enough to risk something in exchange for helping the man...just soooo sad!
