Thread: Girls Gone Wild

Well Danielle...I do believe in the hereafter....which is called Heaven, of course. And if he made it up there...I'm sure that he looks down from time to time and marvels at how he has not yet been forgotten. Sometimes I think to myself, how much God must be enjoying his voice up there....

Daddy, I miss you more every day. You will always be my hero..

    Oh yes, I agree

Sometimes i hope Elvis is watching because I never got to meet him then, and that one day I will. Sounds stupid, but i guess it's how i feel

Oh no, honey, that's not stupid at all. When you are emotionally bound to someone, whether it be a family member, or an idol of yours...it really matters! My daughter, who is older than you, says the same thing... She and my oldest son both have asked if I think that Elvis will be known as "Elvis" up there, the way he was known down here. That's a hard question to answer...and I don't claim to have the answer. I guess that if Heaven is whatever makes you happy...as some have stated...then we are in for a concert the likes of which this earth has never seen...!

Lea, I love this video. I've never seen this from opening night, August, 1970.
Now, when he says, "Keep it up" and laughs, is he telling you that or is he talking to Rosanne.....lol......

Liz...that would be me, of course! Rosanne was the one who was screaming loudly...and Gail was the one that plastered herself onto him onstage...(sighing)...Sweet Memories, eh?

I completely agree with your thoughts on this. I have never shared this with alot of people(Gail knows it!), but I will let you in on my version of heaven. When I make it upstairs, most of my time is going to spent in the Las Vegas Hilton showroom. I don't have to drink, and I won't be gambling, but I sure plan on being in the showroom. I want it to be just like it used to be....gold lame curtains, dinner served, those big red booths and the funky angels on the wall. Perhaps some day all of our Girls Gone Wild will have a special reserved table waiting just for us.

Well for goodness sakes's....of course he was speaking to me. He didn't really know any others that well. Don't worry...when we get to heaven(see my above post), I will introduce you all to Elvis.

Geeze...sounds like Heaven to me! Unfortunately my version is a bit different. I want to sit down under a big ol' shade tree and listen in awe as my Daddy and Elvis sing together......they are my two favorites. Can't wait to see Elvis' face when Daddy does his rendition of "Milk Cow Blues"... Truly wish you girls could have seen and heard my Daddy in action...he was a gifted performer in his own right! Who knows...maybe some day I'll be able to show you all some home video's of my old man doing his thing...

Daddy, I miss you more every day. You will always be my hero..

I don't know ladies - my idea of heaven is a little different from yours!!! First, I will hug my mema and papa and tell them how much I've missed them and loved them and then they will see the look in my eye and they'll say "he's right over there Gail"!!! Mema will tell me about all the squeezes she's gotten in since she got there and papa will just shake his head. I will then chase him all over that big old stage and I ain't stopping til I get him!!!! We'll see ya'll in the big old showroom and out under the tree but one thing's for sure - where you see him YOU'LL SEE ME TOO!!!!
