“Through at least one of the known ancestral lines of Elvis’ grandmother, Minnie Mae (Hood) Presley, recorded history shows Elvis Aaron Presley to be a descendant of King Henry the 1st and William the Conqueror,” states Bruce H. Why is it always these things come out with "related to King so-and-so" ... it's never "he was descended from a sewer cleaner from Essex".
If this was true, it would have been mentioned a long time ago.

It takes many years of study and patience to track anyones ancestry .
Something I have very little time or inclination to do.
For those that do; good for them.
I've no doubt we're all related to "sewer cleaners" as well as kings.
Both can be honorable professions and ones to be equally proud of.
It is after all, pride in the job well done , not the job itself.
