    Elvis and Dallas

I'm reading Elvis, Day by Day and it notes him taking trips to Dallas very often. And often by himself. What the heck was in Dallas that he needed to do? The book does not say?? Anyone know??

As a "born and raised" Dallas girl I have a few theories that were often floating around. One one was that he was seeing a DR. in a medical building that was about 2 blocks from my house.Of course, we never knew that at the time. There was also an optical Boutique called Santa Fe Optical and it was said he came there as well. And....always the rumor of certain hamburgers and such that he liked at different places. I can tell you it was a weird feeling to learn after the fact that he was buzzing in and out of Big D all the time.

P.S. Gail has blown my cover with her pic of E and I...so now you know the real reason!!

I have read that also in various accounts of his life. I often wondered about that, b/c he went with his 'guys' for just a day or 2 and then flew somewhere else. I thought maybe it was some Dallas chick.. Rosanne, he didn't come to see you, did he?????....lol.....You have admitted that you have seen him more than once, but girl, I never dreamt he was there romancing you!!!!!!

OK....I can see I have been "outed". We loved to go dancing and often I found myself in the same predicament as the girl in the picture.

You want to know the real story?? I was always sooo mad at my parents becuase they insisted that he stay in the guest bedroom. Unlike Cilla, my parents did not allow me to get my own place at 17. I just wanted to show him a little southern hospitality.

Being serious for one moment, ladies.
Elvis performed a lot in Texas ; didn't he? It's also where they took the plane ,"The Lisa Marie" and "gutted it." Otherwise, no idea why he'd be there so much. ?? Except there IS a myth that he had a long time girlfriend there .
    Perhaps that was Roseanne ??
